Twentry

Support

Questions, problems or ideas: write to support@twentry.app. Please never send your journal or bank screenshots; a description of what happened is enough.

Where is my data?

On your iPhone, in the app's own storage, and in your iPhone's backups if you have them on. Nothing goes anywhere else unless you connect your own GitHub repository.

Do I need to know Ledger?

No. Start a new journal or look around in the sample one; Settings › About › How Twentry works explains the idea in a minute. If you already keep a Ledger journal, open it from Files: the app works on a copy.

How do I use it with my computer?

Put your journal in a private GitHub repository and connect it in the app with a fine-grained token (access to that repository only, Contents: read and write). Desktop Ledger and hledger read the same files. Before every upload the app checks with GitHub that the repository is still private, and sends nothing to a public one. A private repository isn't encrypted: GitHub, and anyone you give access to it, can read the journal.

Which iPhones run the AI?

The AI runs on the iPhone itself, so how well it works depends on your iPhone's memory: the larger, more accurate models need more. The app suggests the most accurate model that fits your iPhone and marks the ones that may not. On an iPhone with little memory no model may fit; everything else works on any iPhone with iOS 17.

Which bank statements can it read?

CSV and Excel files, on any iPhone with iOS 17. PDF statements and screenshots of a bank's app need iOS 26, which reads tables in pictures. You check every line before anything is saved.

What does it cost?

Twentry 1.0 is free, with every feature included. There are no ads and no subscriptions.

Is Twentry made by the Ledger project or Ledger SAS?

No. Twentry is an independent app built on Ledger, the open-source accounting tool, under its BSD licence. Settings › About › Acknowledgements lists every open-source component and its licence.
